Routine appointments

To request a routine appointment

  • phone us on 01223 420511
    • If you would like to book a routine same day appointment, please phone us at 8.00am Monday to Friday, when we are open
    • If you would like to prebook an appointment for another day, please phone us Monday to Friday, when we are open
  • visit the surgery and speak with a receptionist, Monday to Friday, when we are open
  • use your NHS account (through the NHS website or in the NHS App)

Your appointment

However you choose to contact us we may offer you a consultation:

  • by phone
  • face to face at the surgery

Appointments by phone can be more flexible and often means the doctor or nurse can help you sooner. Please note some conditions will mean that the clinician will need to see you in person to assess you therefore you may be advised that a telephone consultation is not appropriate for the appointment you are booking.

To cancel your appointment:

  • use your NHS account (on the NHS website or in the NHS app)
  • reply CANCEL to your appointment reminder text message
  • phone us on 01223 420511, Monday to Friday, when we are open
  • visit the surgery and speak with a receptionist, Monday to Friday, when we are open
  • email the practice on admin.miltonsurgery1@nhs.net

Patients can access enhanced access services by calling the surgery who can make evening and Saturday appointments on their behalf. On a Tuesday evening the enhanced access service is run from Milton Surgery. On other weekday evenings and on Saturdays, patients can access appointments at other surgeries in the area.

If you need medical help now, use NHS 111 online or call 111.NHS 111 online is for people aged 5 and over. Call 111 if you need help for a child under 5.

Call 999 in a medical or mental health emergency. This is when someone is seriously ill or injured and their life is at risk.

Please tell us:

  • If there's a specific doctor, nurse or other health professional you would prefer to respond.
  • If you would prefer to consult with the doctor or nurse by phone.
  • If you need an interpreter.
  • If you have any other access or communication needs.

If you are housebound and need an appointment, you can request a home visit. We will phone you first to understand what you need. To request a home visit, it's helpful if you phone the practice as soon after 8am as possible on 01223 420511.
